Severe storms hit the South
This NOAA satellite image taken Friday, May 16, 2008 at 1:45 a.m. EDT shows clouds in the East associated with a low pressure system that is providing widespread areas of moderate to heavy rain from the Ohio Valley through the Mid-Atlantic. More clouds over Texas are providing additional rain and thunderstorms to the southern portion of the state.
