Michael Jackson appears with actress and friend Elizabeth Taylor at a Michael Jackson tribute concert, the '30th Anniversary Celebration, The Solo Years,' in New York City , September 2001. Taylor was one of Jackson 's most famous champions. She dubbed him the 'King of Pop' in 1989. Jackson celebrates his 50th birthday on Friday, Aug. 29.
