Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki attends the US-Iraq Business and Investment Conference in Washington, DC, October 2009. Maliki has severely criticised Saudi Arabia for its negative stance towards Iraq since the overthrow of Saddam Hussein's Sunni-dominated regime.
