Iraqi officers sit guard outside the Chaldean Catholic Cathedral during the Christmas day service in the northern city of Kirkuk, 240 kms (150 miles) from Baghdad. Eighteen people including six Shiite worshippers were killed in a spate of attacks across Iraq on Friday, despite ramped up security for Christmas Day and Shiite Ashura rituals.
