A U.S. Air Force 34th Bomb Squadron B-1B Lancer takes off from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., en route to the war zone in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom Thursday, July 24, 2008. At their deployed location, this will be the first use of the Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod by Ellsworth B-1s; the Sniper ATP is a long-range precision targeting system that supports strike missions by providing positive target identification, autonomous tracking, coordinate generation and accurate weapons guidance from extended standoff ranges.
