FILE - In this Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 file photo, Francop, an arms ship, that according to Israeli defense officials carried hundreds of tons of weapons from Iran bound for Lebanon's Hezbollah guerrillas and was seized by Israeli authorities near Cyprus, anchors in the port of the Israeli city of Ashdod, Israel. With cutting-edge anti-missile systems and two new submarines that can carry nuclear weapons, Israel is readying a new generation of armaments designed to defend itself against distant Iran as well as Tehran's proxy armies on its borders.
