Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari, widower of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, scatters rose petals on the grave of his wife, on the second anniversary of her assassination at the family mausoleum in Garhi Khuda Bukash near Larkana December 27, 2009. Zardari said on Sunday he would survive politically and defend democracy in Pakistan, which is battling al Qaeda-linked militants determined to destabilise his pro-U.S. Government. Speaking on the second anniversary of the assassination of his wife Bhutto, Zardari suggested he had no intention of resigning after the possibility of corruption charges against his close aides weakened him.
