Pope Benedict XVI leaves Piazza di Spania (Spanish Square) after the traditionnal visit to the statue of Mary on the day of the celebration of the Immaculate Conception on December 8, in Rome. The Pope once again apologised for sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests, this time directing harsh words to Irish clergy cited in a damning report.
