Residents who were displaced by the recent floodings in the capital prepare to receive blankets, cash and food supplies from the Chinese Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation during relief distribution to some 1,000 families at the flood-stricken city of Marikina east of Manila, Philippines Thursday Nov. 19, 2009. Hundreds of thousands of residents were affected by the worst flooding in 42 years in the capital following back to back typhoons and tropical storms that also killed more than 800 people.
