Olena Prysukha, wife of Oleksandr, an aide to the captain of the Ukrainian MV Faina captured by pirates off the coast of Somalia, holds up a letter to Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko near the building of the presidential secretariat in Kiev, Ukraine, Monday, Oct. 13, 2008. A dozen relatives of the Faina crew came to Kiev from the sea port of Odessa to demand that Ukraine pay the ransom to the pirates. The pirates have threatened to destroy the vessel Monday night or early Tuesday unless the ship owners pay a ransom of up to US$20 million. They have held the ship for more than two weeks.
