An United Launch Alliance Delta II rocket, on behalf of Boeing Launch Services, blasts off at 11:50.57 PDT (18:50.57 GMT) with the GeoEye-1 satellite from Space Launch Complex-2 at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, September 6, 2008.
