Prevacid®24HR, a new over-the-counter treatment for frequent heartburn, travels the packaging line at an Edison, New Jersey facility in preparation for shipment to approximately 100,000 retail stores. The November 12, 2009 launch marks one of the biggest over-the-counter switches in all categories of medications. This new treatment option for the 50 million American adults who suffer from frequent heartburn is the first and only over-the-counter proton pump inhibitor in its original formulation.
