The Trophy is making an 86,304 mile global tour taking in 83 countries, in the lead up to the finals of the tournament in South Africa. Created by Italian sculptor Silvio Gazzaniga in 1974 the World Cup is a gold trophy that is awarded to the winners of the FIFA World Cup.
