An unidentified sailor salutes a U.S. flag flying at half mast Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, aboard the U.S. guided missile destroyer USS Benfold docked in Manama, Bahrain, at the end of a ceremony inaugurating an expeditionary strike force responsible for amphibious forces within Fifth Fleet as well as regional humanitarian and disaster relief efforts. The flag had been lowered in honor of shooting victims at the Fort Hood military base in the United States.
