Avaaz.Org, the world's largest international online advocacy network, flys a banner past the United Nations Headquarters to urge South Africas President Tahbo Mbeki to step up to support democracy in Zimbabwe. Pope Benedict XVI Wednesday urged President George W. Bush to use "patient diplomacy to resolve conflicts," but did not mention the Iraq war to which the Vatican is strongly opposed.
