USS New York
New York City firefighters among others look on as the USS New York, a Navy amphibious assault ship containing 7.5 tons of steel salvaged from the World Trade Center, gets formally commissioned in New York Saturday Nov. 7, 2009. The $1 billion warship was built near New Orleans by workers who survived Hurricane Katrina.
