Somali Pirates

Armed police officers guard seven suspected Somali pirates, in dark blue uniforms, as they walk to the Mombasa Law Courts, Kenya, to answer charges of piracy on Tuesday, Nov, 10, 2009. The seven who were arrested by marine officers on board a German naval ship MV Frigate Karlsruhe, had attempted to hijack a fishing trawler Captain St. Vincent. The suspected pirates denied the charges of piracy before the Mombasa chief magistrate and were remanded at the Shimo la Tewa GK Prison. The hearing of the case will be on Jan.7, 2010.
