Soldiers of the Democratic Republic of Congo army patrol the Kibati region, north of Goma, northeastern DR Congo. Thousands more people than previously thought have fled an ethnic conflict in northwestern Democratic Republic of Congo, the UN refugee agency has said, amid accounts of killings, rapes and pillaging.
