This file photo dated 1945 shows the devastated city of Hiroshima in days after the first atomic bomb was dropped by a US Air Force B-29. US President Barack Obama has urged Japan's new centre-left government to keep a pact allowing US bases on its territory, as both sides laid the groundwork for his visit to Tokyo this week.
