Indonesian activists hold up a banner during a demonstration calling for orangutan protection from habitat loss due to the clearing of land for palm oil plantations in Jakarta, Indonesia, Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009. Orangutan populations in Indonesia's Borneo and Sumatra island are facing severe threats from habitat loss, illegal logging, fires and poaching. Conservationists predict that without immediate action, orangutans are likely to be the first great ape to become extinct in the wild.
