This handout picture from the European Space Agency (ESA), released in 2008, shows an artist's rendition of ESA's probe Rosetta's closest approach to Earth. The billion-euro (1.5-billion-dollar) European spacecraft has made a final flyby of Earth, using the planet as a gravitational slingshot to speed to a rendezvous with a comet in 2014.
