Cumberland Island, Georgia National Seashore visitor David McKale of Orlando, Florida moves to the side of the one lane wilderness road on the island to let a vehicle pass by as he hikes his way to the northern end during a week long camping trip, Saturday, September 20, 2008. The 17 mile long island was once owned by the Carnegie family and made famous by the wedding of John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1996. The barrier island is only accessible by boat and once visitors arrive they can hike or rent bikes to explore it. The National Park Service is looking at starting vehicle tours to the north end of Cumberland Island, Georgia beginning next year in accordance with a mandate from congress to increase accessibility in the national seashore area.
