NHL-New York Rangers beat Montreal Canadiens to reach Stanley Cup

May 29 (Reuters) - The New York Rangers beat the Montreal Canadiens 1-0 on Thursday to win the National Hockey League's Eastern Conference championship and clinch a place in the Stanley Cup finals. The Rangers won the best-of-seven conference series 4-2 to advance to the Stanley Cup for the first time since 1994.
