New York City gasoline prices down an average of 2 cents per gallon since last week

NEW YORK (AP) -- Gasoline is slightly cheaper in New York City this week.

Website GasBuddy.com reports the average retail price in the city has fallen slightly more than 2 cents per gallon in the past week to $3.75.

That's just 1.9 cents per gallon higher than at this time last year, but 49 cents per gallon higher than the national average.

GasBuddy surveyed 1,088 gas outlets in the city to determine the average price.
