NYPD boss' son returns to TV show after rape claim

One account I read said she had repeatedly texted him and communicated with him after the alleged incident, making it harder to prosecute. The article stated the prosecutors had copies of the texts she sent, making her story harder to prove with whatever she wrote. We can second guess all we want, but I don't think we have all the facts.

Maybe false accusers should also be put on the "registry of sex offenders." If I had one in my neighborhood, I'd want to be cautioned to never be alone with them, never be in any situation where there's any possibility of "he/she said" situation that can escalate into ruined reputation and a legal and financial nightmare.

She waits 3 1/2 months to report the rape, dosen't that seem a little strange?

It's difficult to deal with when someone accuses you of a heinous crime. I was once accused of rape myself, and at the time I was a cop, but it didn't go very easy for me until some very important information came out. I happened to be in Hawaii at the time and she was in Guam. Now, I like to think of myself as talented, but that's taking things a little far. Pardon the puns.

Although I deplore people who physically and sexually abuse women and children, this story stunk from the beginning. She was too drunk to give consent, they went back to HER office, she never had sex after that with her boyfriend AND had an abortion? Well who's was it? Could have has some DNA proof, but no. Then she reports it four months later. Bull!

Colonel in the USMCR, and had been a fighter pilot for 9 years in Iraq and has overt 150 carrier landings.

He isn't saying he didn't bang her, she is the one that was jilted and now wants him to have to be dragged through the public eye. I guess if his dad had not been police chief none of this would have made the news.

I spent 4 years as a detective in a criminal investigations unit in my police department during my career. In those 4 years I was assigned 12 rapes. In 6 of those cases the women admitted to me (eventually) that they made up the allegations because they were #$%$ off at the guy. That's 50%. It's embarrassing for the suspect to be falsely accused, obviously, but it does more damage to the credibility of the accuser and to actual victims of rape.

They should drop that woman off in a prison 'yard' for an afternoon so she can understand the difference between "rape" and "regret"......

Can't really prove anything with this kind of time frame between when she says it happened and when she reported it. One would think she would have to know that the cops can't do anything without evidence when it's just her word against his. She probably knew that, and, it was just her intention to ruin his reputation since his is a public figure.

She cried rape because he did not want to marry her. How is she going to tell her bf that she is pregnant...Her false accusation will make it more difficutl for real raped victims to be believed...

You are never cleared of a charge in ANY SEXUAL CRIME...........
