Obama Calls for End to Outsourcing -- Finally

It isn't just the people who do not have jobs who are disgusted with the big corporations using outsourcing - try calling AT&T, Virgin Mobile, Cricket, T-Mobile, etc. - you will get a person from a different country with static on the line - they cannot speak in good English to be understood, refuse to tell you what country they are in, etc. - likewise with insurance companies having their work done in other countries with multiple mistakes. On and on. Here is Chicago we Real Estate Brokers had to deal with outsourcing when WE are the ones who pay the costs - nobody asked us if we agreed - we complained - the outsourcing was in India and they would tell us it was the 6th office we reached - total LIES. Time to have our country back and all the of people who do not work can get a job - even if they are forced to work in lieu of being on the dole.

Just look at yourselves and what each one of you are doing. How are you spending your money? Do you pay close atention on where the item you are purchasing made from? Do you request the item to be made in the US? Do you put it back immediately if it was not made in the US? if not Do It, This is how you save and help your country. I do it every single time. Items made in china are of a poor quality and destroys not only families but the enviroment as well. Can YOU bring this country to grater times. President Obama said " Yes we can" each and every one of us owes it to our parents and grandparents who worked very hard for the better of this country. Lets not allowed cheap and poor quality merchandize being brought from other lands to destroy our economy, jobs, and families. Love your fellow men by purchasing only American made merchandize.

end of outsourcing = end of lobby contributions from big corp.

they should end corporate lobbying and make it only legal to lobby via constituent.. this will bring power back to the hands of the people.. not the corporations.. like it should be.

Closing Gitmo, more transparency in government, direct leader-to-leader talks with North Korea and Iran, etc., etc.
Don't focus so much on what Barack Obama SAYS.
Concentrate instead on what he DOES.

Corporate america makes money by outsourcing jobs overseas, the same corporations donate and run and influence the elections.

Does anyone in their sane mind here think the corporate america would want to insource and lose all their profits?

Obama calls end to outsourcing? Another one of Obama's dog n pony shows for an election year. He should have been calling for that all along, even while his own jobs czar (J Immelt, ceo of GE) has been taking away from Americans and sending many thousands of jobs to China. Obama's administration has intentionally gone out of the way to destroy or give away American jobs. The writer of this commentary is doing nothing more than covering for Obama's bull-chit and pandering for votes....You're being told everything they think you want to hear....as they continue to stab you in the back and destroy the nation.

None other than Jeffrey Immelt, honcho at General Electric, who is implementing plans to outsource operations even as we speak.

End outsourcing? #$%$ RIGHT!!! We should be creating jobs here, not in other countries. Any company that out-sources should be hit with heavy taxes and not get ANY tax breaks from the government. They should also publicize the name of every company that is laying off Americans and sending the jobs overseas and encourage people, as part of their patriotic duty, to boycott these companies.America first, then everybody else.

Yeah but where are the TEETH in Obama's call for in sourcing? I doubt there are any - just his usual rhetoric so he can get reelected.

If we used a mindful energy plan, if we quit supplementing unions with tax dollars, if we set realistic ecological goals rather than adhering to left winged extremism, if we reduced entitlements and if we used our money to develope our nation, perhaps we might see an increase in the American WORKFORCE.

Can you say TARRIF to enable the USA to compete with countries that pay their workers pennies per day?

He waited to even consider this until the start of the election season. THAT should be of concern to all. While the message is a good sales pitch, let us see what goes forth from it. Considering the U.S. has paid some big corporations a lot of money to help them settle and build OUTSIDE the U.S. with the idea that helping to build other countries budgets, etc., was a way to gain influence with the nation. Most of the time it has done the opposite. The big corporations gobble up whatever they can, have min.wage workers and they produce less than quality products generally. WHY WAS THIS NOT ON HIS TOP AGENDA 3 YEARS AGO?

I just wonder if he has called Jeffery Immelt to the carpet and chewed him out for outsourcing while on the jobs advisory board.. Jobs brought to China from GE, it would Ronald Reagan puke.
