Obama shakes hands with man wearing horse mask

President also declines offer of (legal) pot during Colorado constitutional

Now here's something you don't see every day: The president of the United States shaking hands with a guy in a horse mask.

Barack Obama did just that on Tuesday in Colorado while walking in downtown Denver.

After a dinner at Wazee Supper Club, where the president met with people who had written him letters on various national issues, Obama took a stroll down 15th Street.

The president pulled back in mock fear as he shook hands with the unidentified masked man as Secret Service agents stood by, looking slightly concerned.

Obama then made a stop at the Wynkoop Brewing Company, where a bar patron (identified later as Instagram user @manton89) offered him a hit of (legal) marijuana. The president laughed and declined.

Instead, Obama drank beer and shot pool with Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, a co-founder of the joint.

"After a slow start," the Wall Street Journal's Colleen Nelson reports, "Obama won handily."
