Obama to meet with Jordan's king in California
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will host King Abdullah II of Jordan for talks in California next month.
The White House says the Feb. 14 meeting will take place at the Sunnylands estate near Palm Springs. Last year, Obama used the estate for two days of talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping (shee jihn-peeng).
Abdullah hosted Obama last year during the president's trip to the Middle East. The two leaders have worked together closely on several regional issues, including the civil war in Syria which has created a refugee crisis in neighboring Jordan.
Officials in Jordan say Abdullah will also visit Washington during his trip to the U.S. for meetings with congressional leaders and religious groups.
