Obama's Approval Rating on the Economy Slips to a New Low

With high unemployment and a shaky stock market, Americans don't like the way Barack Obama has handled the economy. The latest Gallup poll shows his approval on the economy has slipped to a new low: 26 percent, "down 11 percentage points since Gallup last measured it in mid-May and well below his previous low of 35% in November 2010." The same polling shows that most Americans also disapprove of the president on Afghanistan, with the rating "down 15 points since mid-May, the most of any issue Gallup tracked during this period, though the resulting 38% approval rating is not the lowest he's seen on this issue." Terrorism is the only issue on which Obama has a higher approval rating than at the beginning of 2010.
