    President and CEO of Karlsberg International Insurance Corporation, Ltd. Wayne P. Kurtz, will be speaking on “The Last Best Loophole for Tax Deferred Growth and Investment” at the Live and Invest Overseas Conference in Medellin, Colombia on January 25-27, 2012.

    The session will cover the benefits of an offshore life insurance policy and the assets that may be included into variable offshore insurance products and how interested investors can determine their eligibility.

    “Tax rates are projected to increase in 2013 so now is the perfect time for planning. An offshore life insurance policy is a great way to defer taxes on unique asset classes. It also protects and diversifies those assets,” said Kurtz.

    Wayne Kurtz has more than 20 years of senior-level experience in financial services organizations including operations management, marketing/sales, fiscal planning, M&A, and P&L management. He has been recognized for articulating vision and direction, turning around poorly performing divisions, guiding joint ventures, and establishing strategic alliances.

    As the President & CEO of Karlsberg International Insurance Corporation, Wayne’s responsibilities include executing long-term strategic/tactical plans along with overall management and operations of the company.

    Before joining Karlsberg International Insurance Corporation, Wayne was a Senior Vice President of Aon Hewitt – Executive Benefits division, responsible for the Northeast region and working with the management team and board of directors of global Fortune 1000 clients.

    Prior to that, his experiences included General Securities Principal and the Director of client development and management for a national benefits consulting firm and Senior Director of the tax and financial services practice for a “Big Four” accounting firm. Wayne has a BS degree in finance and math from Robert Morris University and a Master’s degree in taxation from Duquesne University.

    He also earned a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from The College of Financial Planning. Wayne is an accomplished speaker, author of “Beyond The Iron”, real estate investor, 26 year passionate endurance athlete and founder of the largest endurance racing resource in the world, RaceTwitch.com. He is actively involved tutoring foreigners with the Pittsburgh Literacy Council (English as a Secondary Language Program).
