Oh, It’s Lit! 8thW1 & Fresh Daily Score As Charlie Brown’s Field Goal

With so many poppin’ mixtapes released within the last 24 hours, we can easily be fogged by the popular sounds of the moment. It would take the NYC fellas 8thW1 and Fresh Daily to give us that old thang back…true neck snappin’ beats, enclosed with hot rhymes. The two soloists came back together as a duo under the unusual moniker Charlie Brown’s Field Goal.

Their 11-track project named Oh, It’s Lit! can be streamed for free on Soundcloud, yet the 13-track version is available for purchase here http://tinyurl.com/buycharliebrownsfieldgoal

With beats produced by Illmind [50 Cent, Skyzoo] and features by Homeboy Sandman and Silent Knight, Oh, It’s Lit! gives you a break from the trap life for a bit and keeps the traditional movement rocking. Check their words on how they got back together:

8thW1 & Fresh Daily met in the early 2000’s on NYC’s hip-hop open mic & showcase circuit.

Fans of each other’s styles and wishing there would be a win for the underdog, they began recording songs under the name “Charlie Browns Field Goal”. This would be the foundation for the AOK Collective.

Charlie Brown’s Field Goal was put on hiatus while Fresh & 8th went on to release a few solo projects before Fresh ventured into creating event series & record label Beat Haus and 8th pursued a higher education, earning a degree in English. The vault has been opened and some of the more rarer gems and classics have been now made available to the public. The version for purchase has two bonus tracks.

You’re welcome.
