    Ohio Company Brings Mobile Rewards To Columbus Businesses and Residents

    SparkBase, Inc. (http://www.sparkbase.com) an Ohio-based loyalty marketing company is launching Paycloud, a mobile rewards app for iPhones and Android smartphones, to Columbus-area businesses.

    Paycloud is a mobile app that allows businesses to extend the reach of their existing reward program and deliver discounts and deals directly to customers on the one thing they’re most likely to eat, sleep, and most importantly, shop with: their phone.

    Paycloud is a free app, downloaded through the iPhone or Android app store. Once registered with Paycloud, customers can locate area businesses, enroll in their Paycloud program in a single touch, and instantly gain access to discounts and rewards.

    Unlike traditional discount and reward programs, customers earn points and redeem rewards and discounts in store through a low-cost Paycloud sensor without ever printing an email or cutting coupons.

    Paycloud was developed specifically for small, local businesses. More than 100 businesses have adopted Paycloud since the launch of the app in late October 2011.

    “Small businesses can’t afford to slash prices with daily deals to attract one-time shoppers,” said Doug Hardman, CEO of SparkBase. “What they need is a program to help them build a loyal customer base of frequent shoppers to increase sales for the long run. Paycloud helps them do that.”

    Paycloud will be signing up Columbus-area businesses beginning February 13, 2012. SparkBase anticipates Columbus-area residents will be able to find savings on Paycloud at more than 50 local retailers within two weeks.
