Ohio gas prices dip as work week begins

Ohio gas prices lower to start work week, now 15 cents below national average

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio motorists have something to smile about as they begin a new work week: a significant dip in gas prices.

A gallon of regular gas in Ohio was listed at an average of about $3.38 in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That's 15 cents lower than last Monday's average of $3.53 — and it's also 15 cents less than the national average this week.

The Ohio average is 32 cents lower than at the same time last month, and 41 cents lower than the same time in 2012.

The lowest average price in the state Monday was about $3.27 in the Toledo area.
