Oil price jumps above $92 a barrel

The price of oil rose more than 3 percent Tuesday on concerns about supplies from the Middle East and the North Sea.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange:

Benchmark crude rose $3.06 to finish at $92.39 per barrel.

Gasoline rose 6.6 cents to end at $2.9587 a gallon.

Heating oil rose 5.9 cents to finish at $3.2032 a gallon.

Natural gas rose 6.4 cents to end at $3.4670 per 1,000 cubic feet.

On the ICE Futures exchange in London:

Brent crude rose $2.68 to finish the day at $114.50 per barrel.
