    Okla. Senate gives 'personhood' to embryos

    OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Senate has overwhelmingly approved an anti-abortion "personhood" bill that declares life begins at conception.

    The vote Wednesday upset doctors who fear the proposed law will jeopardize reproductive medicine.

    The bill now heads to the House, where it is expected to pass. Republican Gov. Mary Fallin typically won't comment on pending legislation, but she has described herself as strongly "pro-life."

    The bill provides embryos and fetuses with "all the rights privileges, and immunities" of other citizens.

    Republican Sen. Brian Crain says it's modeled after a 1986 Missouri law that was later determined by the U.S. Supreme Court to be constitutional.

    The bill is opposed by the Oklahoma State Medical Association, because of concerns it could affect reproductive medicine and ban certain forms of birth control.

      Also, will buildings that have a max. occupancy limit have to ask moms as they enter, how many "extra" are they bringing in the building with them? Churches probably have max. occupancy limits too. That could be a problem if there are a lot of moms there. These groups in which a large number of women gather at once, are they doing to have to count the number of prg women there to insure they don't exceed safety codes?

      So, in the next Census, will Oklahoma be in the forefront to add their new citizens to the House of Representatives via the population increase? Also, will citizens be able to claim on their state and federal taxes, extra deductions? At least on the state level, this seems to be the case. Also, in the far left fast two or more passenger lanes, will a mom be able to drive in that lane as she has additional people "with" her? One down side though, with airlines needing to maximize profits, will they be able to charge pg moms for extra persons?
