Olbermann sues Current for $50M, cites glitches

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Keith Olbermann claims his former bosses at Current TV owe him more than $50 million and ran an unprofessional show fraught with technical problems.

The former television host included the accusations in a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles. The breach of contract lawsuit also asks a judge to rule that Olbermann didn't disparage the network or breach his contract.

Olbermann was fired last week.

His lawsuit claims Current provided him with a poor studio and refused to invest in adequate facilities. He cites an instance in which the lights went off while he was on the air and a variety of other technical problems.

Current was co-founded by Vice President Al Gore. A spokeswoman says the network does not have an immediate comment on Olbermann's lawsuit.
