Olivia Munn Shares Psylocke Photo From Set of X-Men: Apocalypse

On the off chance that ‘X-Men’ fans weren’t already eager to see more of Oliva Munn as Psylocke, the actress has shared a new on-set photograph of herself in her eye-catching costume.

Sharing the photo as a New Year’s greeting to her followers on Instagram, the ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ actress also gave a little personal insight into what we can expect from her mutant anti-heroine:

“To say hello to 2016, I’m gonna say GOODBYE TO 2015 with my Top 5 Favorite Memories of 2015 (that I can think of)… #4 Getting to play#Psylocke in #xmenapocalypse.

“She’s a telekinetic telepath who chooses to kill with a sword because she wants to do it up close and intimate and killing from afar just seems too easy and no fun.”

Munn is one of numerous new arrivals to the ‘X-Men’ universe in the upcoming movie from director Bryan Singer, along with Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Lana Condor as Jubilee, and Oscar Isaac as the titular antagonist Apocalypse.

They join series regulars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, and Lucas Till as Havok in the 1980s-set ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ follow-up.

As this film is expected to be the last for at least a few of the existing cast members, it may be that we can expect to see more of the new mutants - possibly Munn’s Psylocke among them - in the ‘X-Men’ movies from now on.

‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ opens on 19 May 2016.
