Olympics style continues: Prada reveals Italian national sailing team kit

Not to be outdone by the recently unveiled Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney kits for the US and UK teams respectively, sketches of the Italian national sailing team's attire for the London 2012 Olympics has been revealed by Prada.

The luxury Italian fashion house has so far revealed sketches of the blue, white and red kit, with the finished uniforms to be unveiled at a later date.

As the Olympic sailing team's official sponsor, Prada is supplying attire for its athletes and technical staff, while its logo will also adorn the hulls and sails of competing boats and team support vessels.

Italy's other sportsmen needn't feel deprived though, as Giorgio Armani has designed both the sporting and formal wear kits for the Italian Olympic team from Armani's sportswear line EA7.

It's not just the major fashion capitals working with top designers either, as Azerbaijan's Olympic team will be wearing a kit designed by Italian label Ermanno Scervino and designer Cedella Marley (daughter of Bob) teamed up with Puma to create Jamaica's 2012 Olympic costumes.
