New OnePlus phone will fix one of the biggest complaints about the OnePlus 2
Not too long ago, OnePlus launched its second smartphone, a hot high-end Android handset that’s so reasonably priced that millions of buyers were looking to score one immediately after launch. Yet some Android fans found reasons to complain about the phone, saying the device still doesn’t meet some of their requirements. One of the biggest complaints regarding the OnePlus 2 – aside from the silly invite-based purchase system – was lack of NFC, but the company will apparently fix that in an upcoming smartphone whose specs sheet seems to have been leaked.

The “Never Settle” company will apparently make an even cheaper Android handset that will fix some of the problems with its more illustrious predecessor. But the device won’t be the high-end handset you expect.
The OnePlus “mini” will pack a 5-inch display with Full HD resolution, 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTekMT6795T processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, 13-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera according to a recent AnTuTu benchmark listing leaked a few days ago.
Furthermore, G for Games reports that the phone will have a microSD card slot, NFC connectivity and a fingerprint sensor on the back for Android Pay payments, USB Type-C connector with Quick Charge 2.0 support – these were all major complaints with the OnePlus 2. Other features might include a 3,000 to 3,100 mAh non-removable battery, IR blaster and front-facing speaker.
The OnePlus mini will reportedly cost $250, though pricing and launch details are yet to be confirmed.
