Oregon standoff comes to an end after final 4 surrender

The standoff at a wildlife refuge in Oregon that began in early January has officially come to an end. The FBI confirmed on Thursday that the final four occupiers have surrendered to law enforcement and the standoff has ended. There were no injuries and no shots were fired, the FBI said, but the occupiers will each face charges of impeding federal officers. The last occupier repeatedly threatening suicide before he walked out.

Until you address my grievances, you’re probably going to have to watch me be killed, or kill myself.

Separately, Cliven Bundy, the father of the jailed leader of the occupier group, was charged today for his role at the center of a tense April 2014 armed standoff with federal officials. A criminal complaint accuses Bundy of leading more than 200 self-styled militia supporters into a confrontation that had snipers with military-style weapons on a freeway overpass training their sights on federal agents who were attempting to enforce a court order to round up Bundy cattle. Bundy was arrested while on his way to visit his sons, who are also being held in conjunction with the most recent standoff.

This time, they’re rounding up the patriots instead of the Jews.
