Ben Pascal, 27, owner of the Big Easy Cabaret in Baltimore city, competed on the Howard Stern Show for a chance to take Miss Howard Stern, Andrea Ownbey, on a date in New York City. Pascal and two other millionaire contestants played a round-robin dating game, answering questions about themselves, their careers, and their idea of the perfect date.
Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) July 07, 2011
Pascal owns the new Big Easy Cabaret located on the corner of Eastern Avenue and Washington Blvd in Baltimore city’s Fells Point neighborhood. The Big Easy is a burlesque and jazz themed gentleman’s club that hosts live professional burlesque dance shows as well as live adult entertainment every night.
“The dating game was a gas, it was really cool to meet Howard and give Baltimore city a shout out”, exclaimed Pascal.
In addition to his role at the Big Easy, Pascal is also the franchise rights holder to a chain of soft serve ice cream stores. He owns ice cream stores in Severna Park and Annapolis, with plans for two more in Towson and downtown Baltimore.
When asked if he ever thought about combining strippers with the ice cream business, Pascal replied, “There is probably a health code law prohibiting the two from mixing”.
Pascal, who bought the Big Easy in the fall of 2010, has spent months renovating and re-branding the corner bar. Formerly Chubbies Gentleman’s Club, the bar was riddled with unsavory characters and constant community opposition prior to Pascal’s involvement. “It has been an incredible project, and a wonderful upgrade to the neighborhood. I saw an opportunity, and I jumped on it. Baltimore does not have a place where you can watch beautiful girls perform, sip on a freshly muddled Old Fashioned, and listen to Frank Sinatra all at the same time.”
Andrew Klein, the General Manager and creative director, has focused the marketing more towards a Las Vegas show girl experience. “We have incredibly talented performers”, declared Klein. “On any given night, you can watch a rope performance on the main-stage, a hula hoop expose on the mini-stage, and get your tarot cards read by a topless psychic. We even had a beautiful artist drawing charcoal caricatures for patrons a few nights a week. It’s just fun and different and very reflective of Baltimore’s quirky artistic side.”
Despite his best efforts, Pascal was not selected by Ownbey to go on a date; but he still had a great time and really enjoyed the experience.
The Big Easy Cabaret is located at 2000 Eastern Avenue and is available to host your next bachelor or bachelorette party.
