Pacifica police look for person of interest in arson investigation

(KRON) — Authorities are looking for a person of interest in connection to an arson that happened earlier this month, the Pacific Police Department (PPD) said in a press release. The arson happened on April 10 around 1:30 p.m. when an unknown person escaped before police arrived at the scene.

The person of interest is described as an Asian man between 20 and 30 years old with long black hair in a ponytail and glasses. He often wears a “distinct” cloak or robe garment, according to police. A witness was able to take a photo of the subject.

A witness saw a male subject start a fire on a property at Rifle Range Road, the press release said. This male subject has visited SF Archers archery range several times over the past month.

The subject had a Mongolian-style horse bow at the time of the alleged arson. Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to call PPD at 650-738-7314 or its Silent Witness Tip Line at 650-339-4444. Refer to case 24-0888.
