Pakistan calls NATO raid an 'act of aggression'

ISLAMABAD (AP) — A Pakistani general says the military believes the NATO attack that killed 24 Pakistani troops was a "deliberate act of aggression."

Gen. Ashfaq Nadeem also said on Tuesday that the Pakistani army was debating whether to cooperate with the U.S. investigation into Saturday's incident on the Afghan-Pakistan border.

His remarks bode ill for future Pakistani cooperation with the U.S. and NATO over Afghanistan.

Nadeem made the remarks to a briefing of Pakistani news anchors, senior journalists and defense analysts.

      Anyway...
Is Pakistan going to declare war on NATO?
      • Rameez 5 mths ago
War is not an option. . . Pakistan Forces will deal NATO and US thugs more tactically . We are sitting on the neck and can damage them seriously without waging any war. US Knows that clearly.....

US and NATO should stop messing with Pakistan otherwise Pakistan will make Afghanistan the Graveyard of US and NATO. like Soviet Union. . .

Times have changed Rameez... Militants in Afghanistan can hide in the mountains but the days of them defeating military convoys are long gone, the armies of the world have adapted.

If Pakistan believes this unfortunate incident was a "deliberate act of agression" against Pakistan, then perhaps it should declare war on NATO. Incindiery invective will not make a path for reproachment.

They acted in stealthy way and the response should be alike.Down a chopper at Afghan Land with 24 marines aboard.

It was the Pakistani air force that kept on insisting buying the latest F-16. No more F-16 for the Pakistanis. Go fly your JF-17s'. You cannot have your cake and eat it at the same time.

Yes, much like the attack on the US Embassy in Kabul by Taliban forces using intelligence and arms supplied by the Pakistani Army was a "deliberate act of aggression". Or how about providing intel on NATO troop movements to the Haqqani Network, which is an al Qaida affiliate? Sounds like an act of aggression to me, and one that Pakistan has done repeatedly over many years now. Want to end the war in Afghanistan? Recognize the true enemy: Pakistan. Then destroy them.

Wonder if Pakistan thinks the billions we give them each year is an "act of aggression" Once the truth comes out...we will learn that they fired on NATO forces first and then cleared NATO to fire back on their own position. Oh by the way...next time you buy clothes at Wal-Mart, check the tag to see if it is made in Pakistan...you may be surprised !

Just nuke the whole country so we don't have to worry about their nukes falling into Al Qaida's hands. Problem solved. But, the whole world will probably reek of curry for a couple of years, at least until the nuclear fires burn out.

Pakistani's aren't smart enough to think twice about their support of all of the terrorist groups so they should just start preparing more coffins. Their military shot at the NATO forces to cover the retreat of the terrorists. They paid the price for their stupidity.

They are trying to distract us from thinking that they organized Taliban first to fire on NATO from those very outposts. Look at their outrage! They proclaim their innocence through their OUTRAGE! But the Afghans say THEY the Pakistan Army fired first. And since they the Pakistan Army hid Osama for 11 years, I tend to believe the Afghans on this one, lol. what else they got goin' on they don't want us to think about, while they show their OUTRAGE, ha ha.

Have we as a country lost our mind? We are dealing with people who follow Islam which as a religion is worse than most because their understanding of science and reason stopped at the beginning of the 12th century when Al Ghazali declared that god controlled everything including the tides, the sun rising and so on. This man should have been tarred and feathered but it wasn't to be. We are dealing with people that bow and pray five times a day to an invisible entity. They have no time to contemplate reality. The sooner the U.S. government recognizes this the better.

No-one will ever know the truth of what happened. Too many levels of deceit, power struggles and political posturing going on. I feel for the families of the deceased; but the real blame , if you want to call it that, probably lies with both sides and their inability to cooperate with one another, so the grunts on the ground and in the military pay the price for the inability to collaborate.
