      Well written article.
Actually the entire article is already in the title, so the body of the article was a waste of time.
AP needs to relook at the quality of their reporters.

obviously some pakistani officials took the bribe... great article! leaves a lot of the details to one's imagination and supposition.

So not only have we killed their people, bombed weddings, and hunted down the very same people that the U.S. trained, we are starving them out. At what point are the American people going to figure out that your tax money is paying for the Genocide of the people of Afganistan?? Soon-?

Whatever that announcement cost the taxpayer was not worth it. We should have been out of Afghanistan by the end of 2011 but this month will work fine. Stop wasting blood and money there and get out. Every time more than six Taliban gather send a drone, missle or bomber to lighten up the place.

@Ballay: Blackmail from our reluctant ally? I'd rather pay the extra $. It's crystal clear we have nothing to gain in A-stan, and should depart asap. We'll need less tonnage as we wind down.

I SEE. So now after giving Pakistan $ COUNTLESS BILLIONS$ for a freaking right to pass through their country now - Pakistan will "ALLOW" food shipment ..........
"ALL terrorists live like royalty in Pak on american "$ AID $" with Pak government knowledge and ISI approval - like, Dr. AQ Khan. He is a know nuclear proliferatro, who "SOLD" all nuclear knowledge/ knowhow/ supplies then he overwatched the constrtuction and operation of Nuclear to rogue states - that are Paki allies. Pak is now standing on the edge of being a military state (who recruit, train, fund and dispatch all terrorists on all INFIDELS) governed by general Khyani - IT HAS NUKES; while Iran is trying to build nukes. That is the difference.

is the author of this article Pakistani ? ignorant baffoons! why bother ..
    • Stormytiggs  •  Coram, New York  •  3 mths ago
Things are winding down, I don't see why we don't continue with the alternative routes we've since depended on - despite their higher cost. Pakistan made a lot of $ from the logistical nightmare we paid for, so why not dispense with it. This whole situation is just unwinnable.
      • Ballay 3 mths ago
Stormytiggs: The other routes will not only cost you six time more in $ but six time more in time and six more countries to pay and deal with, and they are former Russian states and/or Russia itself. Just try it.

Awwww.....that was sweet of Pakistain to "LET" us ship food....

Kinda like how we "LET" them ship the BANNED ammonium nitrate into Afghanistan so the Tali-tubbies can make more I.E.D.'s with it...

With friends like Pakistain, WHO NEEDS ENEMIES??
    • Ēqualizer  •  Beaverton, Oregon  •  3 mths ago
Gosh, Pakistan is such a GREAT frienemy. They are so cooperative. I'm so very surprised to think they'd be responsible for hiding the WORLD'S MOST WANTED TERRORIST LEADER.
