JERUSALEM (AP) — Palestinian officials say Israeli tank fire has killed two people in northern Gaza.
The Israeli military confirmed the attack Monday. It said the target was a squad of Palestinian rocket launchers.
Earlier in the day, an Israeli airstrike killed two men on a motorcycle in the northern Gaza Strip near the Israeli border. The Islamic Jihad said the men were members on a "reconnaissance" mission and vowed revenge.
Israeli military officials said the incidents were not connected to an earlier infiltration from Egypt. An Israeli worker had two infiltrators were killed.
