Parks and Rec Producers Re-Team for Interracial Family Comedy at NBC

NBC has decided to treat itself to another comedy from Mike Schur.

The Parks and Recreation co-creator will re-team with Matt Hubbard (who served as a consulting producer on the series) for an untitled single-camera comedy at the Peacock Net.

According to our sister site Deadline, the potential series centers on Andrew and Josie, a happily married interracial couple whose lives take a turn when they move close to Josie’s family in Missouri.

Hubbard will write the script (which has received a production commitment from NBC) and will exec-produce alongside Schur and David Miner.

In August, the network gave a straight-to-series order to A Good Place, another comedy from Schur, about “a woman wrestling with what it means to be good.”
