Paul says friendship best way to deal with Iran

WASHINGTON (AP) — GOP presidential hopeful Ron Paul says "offering friendship" to Iran, not sanctions, would be a more fruitful to achieving peace with Tehran.

The Texas congressman says fears about Iran's nuclear program have been "blown out of proportion." He says tough penalties are a mistake because, as he says was the case in Iraq, they only hurt the local population and still paved a path to war.

When asked on "Fox News Sunday" what he would do to deter Iran's alleged nuclear ambitions, Paul said "maybe offering friendship to them."

Paul's remarks put him at odds with both the Bush and Obama administrations; U.S. policy has relied heavily on sanctions and diplomacy to try to convince Tehran to abandon its atomic program. Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful.

Because people are realizing that he is right. From Politifact:

"The average number of terror attacks each month is actually greater than the total number that predated that day."

"With expanded parameters, the database revealed 1,844 suicide attacks against the U.S. and its allies —10 of which happened before 9/11.

The 1,833 suicide attacks in the months following 9/11, from the end of 2001 into 2011, occurred from once a month (Nov. 2002) to 48 times (July 2007).

We posed Paul’s claim to Pape. He said the number of suicide attacks committed against Americans and their Allies each month after 9/11 is substantially greater than the years before.

"What happens is, the more we put troops overseas, the more we’ve had this explosion of anti-American inspired suicide terrorism.

"A good way to think about that, the year before 9/11, the year 2000, there was one suicide attack against the USS Cole that was anti-American inspired and killed US troops abroad," Pape said. "Last year, there were nearly 300 suicide attacks around the world, about 270 of them were anti-American inspired -- that is, against Americans or people working with or for Americans."

"Even when they’re attacking Muslims, they’re very often attacking people directly for America."

"We have troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, then on the border of Pakistan, that’s where the hotbeds of suicide terrorism are. They’re not happening in Bangladesh. The real hotbeds of suicide terrorism are exactly where we put the troops after we put the troops there, not before. …There was no suicide terrorism in Iraq period until we put our troops there.""

The rest of it is on PolitiFact. And while you are there, you can see that his claim that he gets the most active duty military donations out of every candidate, including Obama, is true. The troops say Ron Paul is right.

I like this quote but its not entirely correct. I was just in Egypt and met many people who were truly thankful for America's financial assistance throughout the years. I do know Mubarak kept alot of cash for himself throughout the years but the common people did see some of it and for that they are greatful and did thank me for it.

Today "Profiteers" dedicated their life’s to fight over “Evil Big Government”.To all of you mongers so call Christ followers remember his teaching over rich and poor? or maybe you two face liars and Hippocrates like you masters Koch Brothers puppeteers of NWO who is finders and financiers of American for Prosperity,Tea Party,Heritage foundation. Today right wing radios,Fox&Friends “salve claim News"Tea party puppets and puppeteer’s repeating empty talking points and leas from Heritage foundation like broking records. My friends today We have the best republicans majority Congress what Koch Brothers money can bay.History repeats itself one day"Bastille"will fall and Koch Brothers with their associates,
Puppets and puppeteers will be intrudes to French Lady "Mrs.Guilatin".
My friends, recently I discovered on YouTube some disturbing information regarding secret societies that woke me to a harsh reality.A few of these so called “societies,” include the 170 year old Illuminate,Bilderberg, and the Bohemian Grove. One of the worldwide biggest societies is a Globalist consisting of 13 family bloodlines and headed by the Rothschild family; they are currently holding half of the world’s wealth accumulated from wars and other significant events. Members of Bilderberg are Kings,Queens, politicians and individuals of vast wealth such as George Soros,Rockefeller,Carnegie, the Koch Brothers,as well as practically all worldwide political heads of financial institutions that are members of secret societies. They are all working on the creation of a Nwe World Order and it’s no longer a well kept secret.Politicians ideologies and their party affiliations no longer matter. After there election they become millionaires in no time.It is has become a sad reality.Puppeteers are using corrupted politicians to implement NWO plans. The European Union as well as the North American Union spawned the B.K. NAFTA,and the G.W.B. who signed documents with Canada and Mexico without Congressional approval. V.Putin in 10/2011 proposed the creation of the Ural Asian Union. The 3 country in near future Iran Syria N.Korea will "join"NWO by furs. One of final steps of will be illuminating physical currency and force all peoples the placement of computer chips in our bodies after that no one will purchase anything without being electronically scanned. We all going to be under total control of NWO masters.Today puppeteers of NWO continues killing humans with virus’s,wars, economic crisis and many other ways most of us don’t now or don't understand. They have one goal it is to take over the world and eliminate 80-90% of the world population and slave all remain rest of population. My friends we must investigate and expose and burn to the ground their evil plans but if you want to be a market slave go ahead because in the totalitarian NWO regime will be only two classes the masters incredibly wealthy and their slaves. Can you guess which one you will belong to or it is too difficult for you.All puppeteers call themselves "patriots and constitutional defenders".Wake up my Brothers do your research, my recommendation:Read the book “Masters Game”by Graham Hancock &amp Robert Bauval.Book contains 6 hundred pages with sources, photos and references. And YouTube videos especially:Zeitgeist by Peter Joseph,The Upcoming New World Order, NWO Deception, Satanic NOW,One World Religion,The big deception,NWO Alien Agenda,The Deception of One World Religion, New World Order Plan to Kill 90% of the World's Population,Illuminati Satanic 2012+ UFO Event, NWO Satanic Higher Consciousness,New Age Satanism,Satanic Enlightenment, New Age Deception,The Power behind the New World Order Full Documentary,The Satanic 9/11 Ritual,by Bill Cooper.Wake up my Brothers time is running out, we have to face those cronies. May god blesses all of us OCCUPIERS and 99% percentile.

Joex: I hope in all that rambling you have done your homework and come to the conclusion that Ron Paul is in no way a part of that. He is the Anti-Bilderberg and he has been that way since he first stepped into public office over 30+ years ago.
Men like Alan Greyson, Jim DeMint, & Rand Paul are right up ther with Ron as stand up men who are fighting to keep us truely free under our sovreign US Constitution, but Dr. Paul is the only one out of them that is running for President andanyone who does not wish to hand over our govt to the worlds 1% needs to understand that the US Dems & GOP have traitors in their midst and Obama, Clinton, Perry, Romney, Cain, Biden, Blair, Bloomberg, Guiliani, etc are all Bilderbergs. They own the global corporations, they supply the militaries of all nations, the lobby all world politicians to do their bidding, & most of all the own both Liberal (cbs, nbc, abc, cnn) & Conservative (fox) MSM channles and basically brainwash the voting public who are to tired after a long days work to thouroughly research this stuff, into believing what THEY, the BILDERBERGS, whant them to believe. The left & right in this country are stealing from the middle working class to give handouts to the poor (left) & the corporations (right) with subsidies, tax loopholes, and social handout programs and the middle class, both workers & small buisness owners are the only ones who pay taxes that do not get a refund.
Ron Paul is not perfect, no man is, but his is the right man, at the right time, to bring this country back to it's roots of "Liberty, Property, & no Stamps", which was a popular slogan used by Adams, Revere, Hancock, and other Whig Party members who stood up against England and freed us from their unjust tyranny & the ruling bank elite families of that century, which I am positive are the same bloodlines of the one's who think they have the right to rule over us today. the Bilderbergs and such.

The majority of people in America know the biggest problem in our country today is money in the political system, everyone needs to do their part to fix this. We need to eliminate $ from political campaigns in order to restore democracy. We need one man one vote, not one $ one vote. Look up Wolf-Pac.

I probably wont vote for Ron Paul, because I don't agree with the majority of his views, but I would say he has the most integrity of all the other candidates and I agree with his idea on befriending Iran. By the way isn't this what Obama was talking about three years ago when he was running. I agreed with it then as well as now.

The 'Best Way' to deal with Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan or any other nation in that region is to become energy independent. The United States has within it's borders enough energy producing capability to power our nation for a hundred years, and that is with the KNOWN reserves of oil, natural gas, coal, bio diesel and other indigenous sources. We need to get out of the Middle East, and become a nation that values it's economic and political sovereignty above all other considerations.

      A MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY
A nation without borders is no nation at all.

It just doesn’t make sense to fight terrorists abroad while leaving our front door unlocked.

Unfortunately, for far too long, neither major political party has had the courage to do what is necessary to tackle the problem.

Instead, we’re presented with so-called “solutions” that involve amnesty proposals or further restricting Americans’ civil liberties through programs like REAL ID.

Ron Paul opposes both of these schemes and believes they will only make illegal immigration and the problems associated with it worse. He has been proud to see states exercising their Tenth Amendment rights and protecting their citizens by refusing to comply with the unconstitutional REAL ID law.

While the federal government neglects its constitutional responsibility to protect our borders, it continues to push mandates on the states to provide free education and medical care to illegal immigrants at a time when the states are drowning in debt. This must not be tolerated any longer.

Like most Americans, Ron Paul also understands just how valuable legal immigration is to our country.

Immigrants who want to work hard, obey our laws, and live the American Dream have always been great assets.
      COMMON SENSE REFORMS

If elected President, Ron Paul will work to implement the following common sense reforms:

      * Enforce Border Security – America should be guarding her own borders and enforcing her own laws instead of policing the world and implementing UN mandates.

      * No Amnesty - The Obama Administration’s endorsement of so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, will only encourage more law-breaking.

      * Abolish the Welfare State – Taxpayers cannot continue to pay the high costs to sustain this powerful incentive for illegal immigration. As Milton Friedman famously said, you can’t have open borders and a welfare state.

      * End Birthright Citizenship – As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be granted U.S. citizenship, we’ll never be able to control our immigration problem.

      * Protect Lawful Immigrants – As President, Ron Paul will encourage legal immigration by streamlining the entry process without rewarding lawbreakers.

As long as our borders remain wide open, the security and safety of the American people are at stake.

As President, Ron Paul will address immigration by fighting for effective solutions that protect our nation, uphold the rule of law, and respect every American citizen’s civil liberties.

Taken from a poster on another forum: Can anyone explain why we need 50,000 troops in Japan? They can afford their own defense. We have troops all over the world. Those bases do little more than support the local economy of nations which constantly criticize us and condemn our presence.

Other nations depend on our protection. We need troops on our borders. Our needs should come before theirs and we can no longer afford to defend everyone. $2 billion a year to Pakistan alone. That’s as much as Obama gave to his rich, elitist buddies.

We provide 70% of the aid going to the horn of Africa. That leaves only 30% for the rest of the planet to kick in on a problem that is unsolvable to begin with.

Can anyone list the things the UN has ever done directly for the US? I mean besides spending our money and getting our soldiers killed.

We need to take care of the United States. After our infrastructure is rebuilt, after every American has a place to live, food to eat, medical care, a good education and a job maybe we can think about helping someone else.

      Paul is Right.
