The 5-foot-5 senior guard ended the contest with 273 converted long-bombs to break the record of 271 previously held by Samantha Neal.

For the season, she has made 41 3-pointers, tied for ninth-best in the state, according to the MaxPreps leaderboards.

"As a father it is such a fantastic feeling," her father and coach Tony Goodman told the newspaper. "As a coach, you just don't get many players who can shoot as good as she can. She's a really great shooter."

And his daughter made sure to give some praise to her teammates, who have banded together to get Peyton to 10-0 thus far.

"I wasn't thinking about the record when I shot it. It was a perfect pass from Emily Green. After I made it I looked over at my dad and he was smiling. It was a really great feeling."
