Humans take first steps on the moon

Before there was the unmanned Mars rover Curiosity, there was the Apollo 11. Crew from that space flight included astronauts Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins, command module pilot. On July 20, 1969, Aldrin and Armstrong became the first humans to step on the moon’s surface, marking "One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind," as Armstrong said.
