A U.S. appeals court wrestled with a request by Apple Inc for a permanent injunction against Samsung Electronics in a case that could have a deep impact on U.S. patent litigation. U.S. President Barack Obama met with a number of tech figures to discuss the future of technology and its role in surveillance.
